Putnam campaign announces quarterly fundraising total
BARTOW, Fla. – Gaining momentum across the state of Florida, Adam Putnam’s campaign announced its continued success in fundraising for Commissioner of Agriculture by raising over $205,000 in the second quarter of 2010.
The Putnam campaign has raised over $1.6 million since February 2, 2009, and has $1.3 million cash on hand. Over 95 percent of the 5,545 contributors have come from Florida.
“Since I filed to run in February of last year, I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of financial support our campaign has received, and I am even more excited at the ever expanding grassroots network our campaign has built,” Putnam said. “We continue to hit our milestones as we enter the homestretch to the November election. It is clear that Floridians are supporting our positive message and our vision for the future of agriculture and consumer protection in Florida. This support is anchored by experience, hard work and an understanding of the importance this $100 billion dollar industry provides to our economy. There is much yet to be done, and I am confident that with our volunteers, donors and supporters we will be successful.”
